Infants

(0-12 Months)

~~~Infant schedule is dependent on each individual child.  Infants schedules are on demand up until approx 10 months of age.

At 10 months age, infants will begin to move to the toddler schedule and be on a more routine daily schedule.~~~ 

During the day we will hold and cuddle infants, encourage tummy time, encourage language development by talking with them,  and offer variety of toys that are age & developmentally appropriate.

Older Infants 

(12-18 Months)

~~~The older infants begin to move into a more regular, scheduled routine at approx. 12 months. This is to help prepare them for the toddler and preschooler schedule ~~~

Areas that we focus on:

Languae Development, Sharing, Playing together, Object recognition & Fine/Gross Motor Skills

***At this age we begin to focus on language development. Children are encouraged to use words. We work on identifing objects, naming them. We talk to the children about everything that we do, what we are going to do, etc. We also begin to work on sharing with others and playing together***

 

7:30-8:30 Arrivals

8:15-8:45 Breakfast

9:00 Diaper Changes, Wash Hands, Prepare for AM Nap

9:15/30-11:15  Nap

11:15 Diaper Changes, Wash Hands

11:15-12:00 Free Play/Prepare for Lunch/Wash Hands

12:00-12:30 Lunch

12:30-1:00 Story time

1:00 Diaper Changes, Wash Hands

1:10-3:00 Playtime/Gross & Fine Motor Skills or

PM Nap (for those who need it)

3:00 Diaper Changes/Wash Hands

3:15 PM Snack

3:20-4:10 Walk/Outside Activity

4:15-5:30 Free Play/Departures

 

*Children in this age group are often beginning to move to one nap a day. We will work with parents on determining when their child is ready for once daily naps.

 

Pre-Schooler

(2 - 5 years) 

 
Our day begins upon arrival of the first child and ends upon departure of the last child each day.
Children will be encouraged, but will never be forced to participate in any activity.

 

Areas that we focus on:

Social development, Letter & Number recognition, Creative play, Hand & Eye coordination, Language development, Manners

 8:15 -8:45 Breakfast .
 
9:00 Circle Time - Children will be given an opportunity to share any news or special experiences.  During this time we will sing interactive songs,  The children who wish to be helpers for the day will choose the jobs they would like to do.  We will discuss the day of the week.  One child will be chosen to mark the day on our calendar


9:30 Free play.  Children will choose their own games and activities.  There will be a variety of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their growth and development.  If weather permits we may go outside.
 
10:15 am Morning snack. 

10:30 Group Activity Time – Any child who wishes may participate in our morning activity.  This may involve arts & crafts, science & discovery, games, puzzles, etc.  Some days this will be a planned activity based on our current theme or skill focus.  Other days the children will be given materials to work on their own creations.  As we finish our activity the children will move on to free play. 11:25 Free Play.  Children are encouraged to play amoung themselves. They may choose between a variety of activities such as puzzles, toys, computer time, coloring, reading, etc.

12:00-12:30 Lunch
 
12:30-1:00 pm Story time.
 
1:00 Bathroom Break, Prepare for Rest Time.  

 1:15-3:00  Nap / Quiet Play – Those children who have not fallen asleep by this time may play quietly.  There are books, puzzles, educational computer games and a variety of toys available for quiet play.
 
3:15 pm Afternoon snack.
 
3:20-4:10 Walk/Outside Activity - 

4:15 pm Free play/Departures.  Children will choose their own games and activities.  There will be a variety of toys, games, and activities available to the children geared toward enhancing their growth and development.  If weather permits we may go outside.
